Crossword Builder is an app for constructing crossword puzzles, published by The Pancake Stack. By installing or using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The app
Crossword Builder is free. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use it. You may not resell it, redistribute modified copies, or reverse engineer it.
2. Your puzzles are yours
Puzzles, clues and word lists you create or import remain yours, and they stay on your device. We claim no rights in them. You may publish, sell or submit puzzles you make with Crossword Builder however you like, including commercially.
You are responsible for having the right to use any word list or other material you import, and for what you publish.
3. Word lists and suggestions
The built-in word list and Autofill suggestions are offered as a convenience. They may include words some people find offensive, and they are not a guarantee that a word is valid, appropriate, or free of third-party rights. Check your puzzle before you publish it.
4. Availability
Crossword Builder is offered as-is. We may change or discontinue any part of it at any time. Because your work is stored only on your device, keeping backups is up to you; we cannot recover lost files.
5. Disclaimer and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crossword Builder is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Pancake Stack will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from them will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin, and you agree to those courts having personal jurisdiction over you.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
